We are a small friendly team of antique specialists who buy a wide range of antiques, collectibles and jewellery directly from the public.

Are your valuations really free?

Yes - all valuations are completely free, with no obligation to sell. We’re happy to provide guidance and help you understand what your item may be worth.

Do I need an appointment for a valuation?

No appointment is necessary. You’re welcome to visit our Chorleywood shop at a time that suits you. If you’d prefer, you can also contact us in advance or send photos via WhatsApp for an initial opinion.

Our Chorleywood shop is open from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.

What types of items do you buy?

We purchase a wide range of antiques and valuables, including pocket watches, jewellery, gold, silver, and collections. If you’re unsure whether your item is suitable, feel free to get in touch.

Do you buy single items or entire collections?

Both. Whether you have one piece or a larger collection, we’re happy to assess and advise.

How do I know if I'm getting a fair price?

We base our valuations on current market demand, condition, craftsmanship, and historical significance. With years of experience in the trade, we aim to offer fair and competitive prices you can trust.

What happens if I decide to sell and how do I get paid?

If you’re happy with the offer, we can complete the sale quickly and securely. Once a sale is agreed, we offer prompt payment by bank transfer.

There’s no complicated process - we keep everything straightforward and transparent.

Is the postage secure?

Every box is fully insured and tracked from your doorstep to our shop - your antique treasures are protected every step of the way.  

Our standard insurance covers up to £150 per Box. If you require additional insurance, please contact us.

 

I'm not able to visit a Post Office, can I arrange for items to be collected from my home address?

Yes. We offer a complimentary Collection Service with Royal Mail. Once you have requested your FREE postal pack, you will have the option to arrange a date for collection by Royal Mail.

What if I don't know anything about my item?

That’s very common. Many people come to us after rediscovering items during a clear-out or inheritance. We’ll guide you through what you have and explain everything clearly.

What happens if I decline your offer?

If you choose not to accept an offer then your items will be returned to you free of charge and will be delivered to your home address by Royal Mail.

How do you value antiques?

Our valuations are based on factors such as age, condition, rarity, provenance, maker, and current market demand.

How old does an item need to be to be considered an antique?

Generally, an antique is considered to be at least 100 years old. We also purchase selected mid-century pieces. 

What if I'm unsure whether my item is valuable?

Contact us with photographs and any information you have. We are happy to provide an initial assessment.
